ERP and CRM

ERP is used to increase the overall productivity of the business. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) are similar in many ways. CRM helps to maintain healthy relation with the present and the potential customers. CRM software is used to organize, automate and synchronize sales, marketing and customer service.

ERP is used to manage the business whereas CRM is used to manage the customers. Like ERP, CRM also allows the sharing of information among all the departments. ERP helps to streamlining the processes of the business. If there is any error in any department it will create alerts in all other dependent departments. This allows departments to do proper planning to solve these issues. Both ERP and CRM uses different approaches to increase productivity of the business.

ERP mainly focuses on cutting costs and marginal overheads. It also increases sales by producing greater sales volume. With the globalization of supply chain and there is increasing need of customers for innovation and reducing expenses.

In a manufacturing unit where there is need of maintaining a record of data then ERP will yield results. A good ERP system allows the employees to manage all the processes in a business unit.

All the employees are given limited roles and restricted to the limited area, this type of role based security means that you can provide limited access to all the employees, they can also lock their permissions so that no other employee can access their jobs.
